An Introduction to Mr. Chen Shimo

 Mr. Chen Shimo was born in 1967 in Hong Kong. He began studying the Arts in year 1970. He has learned from renowned artist, Li KuChan and Wu Zuoren. And has studied in many Art institutions including, Guangzhou Art School and Ru Xun Academy of Fine Arts.

Shimo has received countless awards including, "National Awards", "Young Sculptor Awards", China's first "Art Academy Show Award", "Recognition Award" in the Hong Kong and Macao joint exhibition, and "Outstanding Award" in China's first Industrial Art Exhibition. In China's first National Academy of Arts, he was awarded "Art Academic Award". Also, in the first China Industry Expo Academic Award Exhibition, he won the "Academic Research Award'.

He has been invited, in 1993, to the Beijing Expo to exhibit his Art at the 19th Nagano Territories. In Japan, Shimo learned from artists, Ikuo Hirayama and Kaii Higashiyama. They have influenced his works in many ways.

Now, Shimo is based in Singapore. His works are on display at national and regional exhibitions and locations in British, France, United States and Japan. In Sweden, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Macao, Singapore and Taiwan.
